Here is the description that should be there: A collection of 117 paintings and drawings by artist/writer John Stillmunks between the years 2001 and 2011 that were photographed and documented during those years. Many of his paintings are in collections, galleries, and shows throughout North America and Europe. Relatively few were photographed and documented until recently.

10-19-11 – Another bouncer . . .
10-16-11 – I always really enjoy going to St. Charles, MO for a nice little show they have in their historical district every September. I’ve been working on some bar sketches from the area, but focusing on the bouncers. It’s a very interesting area to visit and I encourage you to go there the next time you have an opportunity to visit St. Louis. If you haven’t had a reason to go anywhere in or near St. Louis, – make one! It’s a great city to visit and I have a lot of fans there – so you’ll be in great company!
9-25-11 – Those of you that know me may have heard my biggest problem is I “just don’t listen”. The truth is I just don’t censor well. “Howard the Censor” made a lame attempt. Bring your “A” game or don’t step out on the court until you are ready.
9-23-11 – Some guy walking up 5th Street in West Des Moines tonight. . . .
9-22-11 – Trying something out today. Would love to hear feedback about it. If people like it, I may give it it’s own page. I’m shooting for a sketch a day here. I know I won’t make it right away, but that’s the plan. Enjoy.
9-22-11 – I forgot to mention last week that I was heading to Mosaics – a three day show in St. Charles, MO. It’s one of my favorite shows – held in a historic old settlement town just west of St. Louis. I have lots of very wonderful and knowledgeable fans/friends/colleagues there – It was great to see you all!!
They made me the poster boy at Mosaics this year. It is a very nice honor – one I shall not forget any time soon. The person who purchased this painting I know will be very proud that it was chosen as the poster painting for this very underrated art show.
The painting is entitled “The Raven and the Pitcher” it was one of the Aesop’s Fables paintings from last winter. It is currently on a layaway purchase plan with a very happy patron. 9-7-11 – Rockbrook Village Art Fair in Omaha – my only stop in my hometown for this year is this weekend -if you are checking for the booth number after getting the postcard . . . the secret booth number is 26E, in front of Pets-R-Us in Rockbrook Village, (awwww yeahhhh . . .)

7-26-11 – This week I am working on revising the book (Acerbic Diatribes of a Painter with a Laptop – 2nd edition.) The second edition will essentially be an improved version of the first edition with wider margins and an opportunity to improve images with new technology. Additional essays will be added to the second edition – including some that are NOT posted online. Stay tuned.
7-26-11 – Next show will be in August in Minneapolis (Loring Park), so I am trying to get the images updated on the site and so forth.
